Updated Make Up Collection Part 1

Hi All!

It feels so good to be back. It’s the eve of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, and im all alone. My family decided to head to bed early and my boyfriend’s at his uncle’s, so instead of lying on the bed and staring at the ceiling, might as well do a blog post.

So tonight, i feel like doing an updated make up collection. Id add some storage tips if i can remember to talk about them. Please remember that i am not bragging in anyway, i enjoy collecting make up. Most of them are from my own money, and if not, they’re all gifts from family and friends.
Lets get on to pictures!

This is how my make up set up look like, same ol’ same ol’.

This is the pink cupboard that i showed in my past post. I may have changed some stuff abit.

On the top of the cupboard, i got a vintage tray thing that i place all my perfumes.

Under the perfumes, ive got 2 separate clear containers where i put all my lotions, body butters, Vaseline, body mist and make up cleansers.

On the next cupboard, on top, that’s where i place all my clean brushes, two antique containers to put my most used earrings and watch.

Under the brushes, theres two more clear containers where i have all my big coastal scents, NYX and manly palette inside. The other container contains all my bb creams, foundations and primers.

Here’s an overview of whats on my make up vanity.

These are two pen holders that i spray painted pink and glued huge flowers on to make them look nicer. Inside one of them, i have all my eyeliners from various brands and milk jumbo pencils. In the other, i have all mu Urban Decay primer potions in different shades and Too Faced Glitter Glue.

Here i have my most used brushes. Most of them are from Sigma and MAC

Next, here is where i have all my new palettes that i need to try/use. I just place them in letter holders. They fit there perfectly. Oh and at the back is my trusty ol mirror that i adore.

Here’s the palettes that I need to try out. Just incase you cant see them in the previous photo.

On the top shelf is where i have perfume sets that i got as gifts, boxes of hairbands and things like that. The shelf at the bottom is where I have all my lip stuff. All from lipsticks to lip balms to lip glosses!

In this acrylic lipstick holder, i have all my NYX round lipsticks, a mirror from Holika Holika and burts bees lipbalms in a tin can.

Next, in this picture, ive got two sizes of acrylic lipstick holders, the tall one at the back holds all my MAC lipsticks and the three smaller ones in front are all my other lipsticks from various brands.

And here is where i have all my lip glosses. The two smaller glasses are actually candle holders that im already done with so that’s a nice tip if you want something fancy yet budget-able.

So that’s all for part 1, I’ll be back with part 2.

TheBalm Cosmetics Part 2

Heya everyone!

How are you all today? Now its time for the post that I’ve been promising to update which you can already see by the title, TheBalm Cosmetics Part 2. Lets get into it!

TheBalm Goodies

As you can see here, first we have the Balm Shelter. Balm Shelter is a tinted moisturizer. And as you all know, most tinted moisturizer would give light to medium coverage, enough to blend out our skin tones and hide blemishes.

I got the shade in Medium, its a tar bit dark for my NW20 skin tone but I don’t mind it at all.

It comes in a tube so you squeeze the product out. I like that.

The downside of this product is that it doesn’t have a lot of shade range. They only have 3, which is light, light/medium and medium. But then again, it does what its supposed to do so i love this.

Meet Matte

Meet Matte
So this is how they look like on their pans

Now all these shadows are matte. But some, for me, are more of a satin finish. I like how its more of a satin finish because it is easier to work with than matte shadows.

Overall, good eye shadows. If you’re tired of your shimmery, glittery shadows and you don’t wanna look so over the top then this is for you. Personally, i love matte eye shadows. It’s good for an everyday look, especially for work or school, you just cant go wrong with this.

And the last but not least is..

Nudetude Palette

Nudetude Palette – Naughty Version

I know they have a “Nice” Version of this palette. The only difference is the packaging, but all the shadows are 100% the same. I personally love the naughty version cause its just too damn adorable! I love it!

But here’s a picture that I got off Google, for you to see the comparison.

Lets look at the swatches,

20120317<br />

As you can see, this has a better selection of mix finishes. So if you’re traveling and you don’t wanna bring so much make up with you then you cant go wrong with this. This has better selections than Meet Matte. You can do a day and night look with this. I really recommend this if you’re on a budget and you just want to get either one.

And also, both palettes come with small brushes as you can see by the photos. I don’t like brushes that comes with the palettes. I cant work with them cause they’re just too stiff. But I don’t mind that at all, cause for me, the products that matters.

So overall, I love everything that I bought from TheBalm Cosmetics. They are comparable with MAC, Benefit or even Urban Decay eye shadows. Again, I’ll say this, TheBalm Cosmetics don’t get the hype that they deserve. Try them out and you’ll not regret.

So until next time!

Cheap Fake Lashes!

Hey loves!

I was gonna go to bed but I decided to do one blog post before I head to dreamland.

And no, this isn’t TheBalm Cosmetics part 2 yet, as you can see by the title above, it’s gonna be a short random post about fake lashes.

For you my bruneian gals, you must have seen people selling fake lashes here that costs $4 each pair right? You know the ones that’s in this kind of boxes.

Not the exact same box though but you get it. It’s so expensive here, whats more is they sell them individually (one pair). But when I saw this in Miri, I had to ask the salesgirl if RM 15.90 was for each pair or one box, and when she said the whole box retails for that price I immediately grabbed one for myself.

10 pairs of lashes for RM 15.90, I cannot pass that up.

They’re good quality lashes and they do look natural on but they dont come with a lash glue, which isnt a problem for me cause I prefer using my own anyway.

So if you do see this around Miri or wherever, dont forget to grab one or two, you’ll always need fake lashes for god knows what.

Until then, I’ll talk to you all next time. Take care!

Benefit Bad Gal Eye Pencil

Hey yall!

I know I said I was gonna do The Balm Cosmetics part 2 tonight but I decided to blog about something really short just cause I haven’t taken pictures of the other The Balm products. My bad!

But anyways, I did get an eyeliner from Benefit and its the infamous Bad Gal smoldering black eye pencil. Ive seen this product a couple of times and I didn’t really feel like I needed another black pencil liner especially when it’s pricey. But that day, I felt like I needed a pencil eyeliner cause I was running out of my Urban Decay Zero. So here its..

Bad Gal Eye Pencil

Bad Gal Eye Pencil

And it looks like an ordinary pencil liner only bulkier

And a swatch of it:

Bad Gal Eye Pencil

It is not the blackest black, it isnt as black as Urban Decay’s Zero but I absolutely love it. It stays on my waterline. Initially I was worried about the size, since its bigger than an ordinary pencil I thought it would be harder to apply with it but nah, no problemo. This doesn’t claim to be waterproof but its okay for me, it does stay for hours so I’m good with that. Anddd the most part is that it is also easy to blend this if you wanna smoke out the look.

So thumbs up for Benefit. Again Benefit, you never disappoint me. So girls, if you’re looking for more than just your average drugstore liners, check this out! You wont be disapointed.

Price: BND 44.90

TheBalm Cosmetics Part 1

Hi all!

I know I havent blogged for months now and I apologise for that. I’ve been really busy and everything’s just hectic and finally now I’ve the chance to blog again! So without further adieu, lets get on to my review and swatches.

What I will be showing you girls today are the things I got last month. Oh this is just half of what I will be showing you, the other half I will probably blog about it tonight or tomorrow. I dont want this to be THAT long.

So I got meself some TheBalm goodies. I really love their products! And yes I say this to all the products I talk about but seriously, people should be raving about The Balm too you know.

Sasa Cosmetics are available in Miri Malaysia right now for those of you who dont know. And The Balm is sold in Sasa Cosmetics. The price is an okay okay for me but I was lucky enough that when I was there all the products were 15% off. Great deal!

L to R: Cabana Boy, Frat Boy, Down Boy

L to R: Cabana Boy, Frat Boy, Down Boy

And the swatches:

L to R: Cabana Boy, Frat Boy, Down Boy

Cabana Boy: A mauvy pink blush with a satin finish similar to NYX’s Spice

Frat Boy: A peachy pink blush with a satin finish

Down Boy: Baby pink blush with a satin finish similar to Well Dressed by MAC. This is my fav out of all!

The price for each is RM65

I’m not a big fan of highlighters. I dont find myself using a lot of times but this highlighter is amazing!

I present to you Mary Lou Manizer

This is how the compact looks like. This is a huge amount of highlighter girls. It contains 8.5g of shimmering goodness. The best part is you can use it for eyes as well as face.

You’ve got a nice big mirror over there. Very practical.

And the swatch:

A beautiful golden sheen and not to mention VERY VERY pigmented. You dont need a lot of this stuff to look glowing.

Price for Mary Lou Manizer is RM72

I actually I wanted the bronzer but I saw this set and Im like “I HAVE TO HAVE THIS!” So this explains why Im talking about this now. This has a pretty cute bag as well.

Contains Hot Mama, Stainiac & Bahama Mama

Bahama Mama & Hot Mama

Top: Hot Mama
Bottom: Bahama Mama

Hot Mama: A peachy pink blush with slight shimmer similar to Nars Orgasm

Bahama Mama: A matte bronzer similar to Benefit’s Hoola but darker (I love!)

And as for Staniac, I will not be showing you a swatch because I havent opened it yet. Not using it anytime soon cause cheek and lip stains tend to “expire” faster so Im saving it for next time.

The price for this whole set is RM144

Overall, The Balm’s products that I got are excellent! I love their pin up theme, love how nice the packaging is, they’re portable, nice size and arent bulky, they’ve got huge mirrors that comes with each blush, the price is fairly cheap for something SO amazing. Nothing bad I can say about TheBalm. I love their products! And you should check them out when you get the chance! So talk to you pretties later!

Coastal Scents Liquid Liners in JET, PLUM & SHAMROCK

Hi loves!

How was your day? Mine was.. Hmm so-so. I haven’t been feeling well since yesterday; flu and cough, so not a good combo! Anyhoos, while I’m baby sitting my baby nephew now, I want to write a short post on the Coastal Scents liquid liners!

Coastal scents claims..

“Provide a bold stream of color to your eyes instantly with our Liquid Eyeliners. Available in five highly pigmented colors, these stay-put liners glide on with ease and will not smudge, smear, or fade away. Each liner is equipped with a pointed felt tip brush for precise lining whether you’re a professional or beginner.”

I agree with Coastal Scents! One problem that I have with the liners is that after applying them, they take a few minutes to dry. People that have mono lids like I will have to take another step which is fanning your eyes with your hand or whatever that’ easier for you. Haha and I’m being serious here girls!

Now on to the pictures and swatches..

Shamrock: A green liner that has a golden sheen to it

Jet: A black liner

Plum: A purple with a silver sheen to it

The other two colors that I didn’t get were Cobalt and Stone. Cobalt is more of a metallic navy blue and Stone is more of  a metallic dark grey color. Both beautiful but I personally don’t see myself using these two often that’s why I skipped them.

This is how the pointed felt tip brush looks like

And at the back of each bottle, the name of the product is labelled

Hope this was helpful to you all. I will talk to you soon!

Sigma Make Up Palettes – BARE, DARE AND FLARE!

Heya girlies!

WordPress was being all bitchy with me for the last few hours! I could’ve posted this up 4 hours ago! It took me that long to upload my pictures. Goddd. Anyways, tonight, I want to show you my new Sigma palettes (not THAT new. got them like 3 weeks ago, I think) and I’ve been loving them esp the Bare palette. I’ve been playing around with these palettes and I have to say that they’re not the best BUT they’re still really good.

Some of the colors on each palette are so sheer that they don’t really show up on my NW20 skin but the others are really pigmented. I will show them the swatches for a bit.

And what’s really neat are the dual ended brushes! I love them. They are the same quality as the full sized ones. How AWESOME is that?!

The packaging, hmm. I like them a lot actually! I’ve read a couple of reviews and most people have mixed feelings about the packaging, some say they’re too bulky, they could’ve made them smaller and whatnot but I say so what? Big deal! They’ve pretty packaging and they’re not THAT bulky. I just love everything about these palettes!

(Yes okay! The pictures of the swatches were taken inside my bathroom, that was the only place that I could get a decent lighting. HAHA!)

And the brushes that came with this palette is..

L: Sigma’s E20 R: Sigma’s E45

Short Shader – E20 – Flat, short, slightly rounded and dense brush. Perfect for precisely applying colors on the lid and smudging along the lash line.

Small Tapered Blending – E45 – Small domed brush with highly tapered tip. Versatile, this brush can be used to precisely apply and blend intense colors to the crease area.

FLARE PALETTE:(Thanks Fids for getting this for me! You’re such a doll!)

And the brushes that came with this palette is..

L: Sigma’s E55 R: Sigma’s E40

Eye Shading – E55 – Soft and dense with a rounded finish. Can be used to apply pressed or loose eye shadows and pigments. Ideal to build intense color on the eyelid. Natural bristles.

Tapered Blending – E40 – Rounded and tapered top. Specially designed to apply and blend color on the crease. Natural bristles.
Last but not least..

And the brushes that came with this palette is..

L: Sigma’s E30 R: Sigma’s E25

Pencil – E30– Precise application of color on the crease, outer corner, and upper and lower lash line. Also ideal to smudge out pencil liner. Natural bristles.

Blending – E25– Oval-shaped brush with gently chiseled sides. Blends and softens the look of powder or cream shadows. Ideal to apply eye shadow primer, base eye shadow colors, and blend harsh lines.

My thoughts on:

The Dare Palette:The name explains it all! The colors in this palette is a bit daring for me but still pretty. It has a few dark shades that can smoke any look out making it wearable. This has to be my least fav out of the three which is funny because this was the first one I bought out of all three!

The Flare Palette: This was a gift from a good friend of mine, Fids, if you’re reading this, I want to say thanks so much for getting me this palette! I really appreciate this.
Now, my thoughts.. If you wanna pick just one of the 3, this is the perfect palette for you! You wanna know why? It’s because these palette has a very good combination of bright and neutral colors. So you’ve got a lil bit of both.

The Bare Palette:At first, I was skeptical about getting this palette. Some reviewers say that this palette is more or less the same with Urban Decay’s Naked palette, which I have and I didn’t wanna buy this at first. Lord knows how much neutrals I have in my collection, but it just didn’t feel right getting just 2 of the Sigma palettes so I actually got this on a wimp. And I ended up loving this the most. Yes, this looks like your everyday neutral palette, but it’s not just any neutral palette, this has beautiful shades of matte colors. What attracts me was SHINE (a very glittery black) and SNOOP (a matte grey). This palette has good highlight colors as well, ELOPE and APPROACH. Love love LOVE!

Now girls, this is all. As usual, I hope this was helpful. Comment below if you want me to elaborate more on anything. Until then, will talk to you all soon! ❤
