Coastal Scents Liquid Liners in JET, PLUM & SHAMROCK

Standard

Hi loves!

How was your day? Mine was.. Hmm so-so. I haven’t been feeling well since yesterday; flu and cough, so not a good combo! Anyhoos, while I’m baby sitting my baby nephew now, I want to write a short post on the Coastal Scents liquid liners!

Coastal scents claims..

“Provide a bold stream of color to your eyes instantly with our Liquid Eyeliners. Available in five highly pigmented colors, these stay-put liners glide on with ease and will not smudge, smear, or fade away. Each liner is equipped with a pointed felt tip brush for precise lining whether you’re a professional or beginner.”

I agree with Coastal Scents! One problem that I have with the liners is that after applying them, they take a few minutes to dry. People that have mono lids like I will have to take another step which is fanning your eyes with your hand or whatever that’ easier for you. Haha and I’m being serious here girls!

Now on to the pictures and swatches..

L TO R: SHAMROCK, JET, PLUM

L TO R: SHAMROCK, JET, PLUM

L TO R: SHAMROCK, JET, PLUM

Shamrock: A green liner that has a golden sheen to it

Jet: A black liner

Plum: A purple with a silver sheen to it

The other two colors that I didn’t get were Cobalt and Stone. Cobalt is more of a metallic navy blue and Stone is more of  a metallic dark grey color. Both beautiful but I personally don’t see myself using these two often that’s why I skipped them.

This is how the pointed felt tip brush looks like

And at the back of each bottle, the name of the product is labelled

Hope this was helpful to you all. I will talk to you soon!

Sigma Make Up Palettes – BARE, DARE AND FLARE!

Standard

Heya girlies!

WordPress was being all bitchy with me for the last few hours! I could’ve posted this up 4 hours ago! It took me that long to upload my pictures. Goddd. Anyways, tonight, I want to show you my new Sigma palettes (not THAT new. got them like 3 weeks ago, I think) and I’ve been loving them esp the Bare palette. I’ve been playing around with these palettes and I have to say that they’re not the best BUT they’re still really good.

Some of the colors on each palette are so sheer that they don’t really show up on my NW20 skin but the others are really pigmented. I will show them the swatches for a bit.

And what’s really neat are the dual ended brushes! I love them. They are the same quality as the full sized ones. How AWESOME is that?!

The packaging, hmm. I like them a lot actually! I’ve read a couple of reviews and most people have mixed feelings about the packaging, some say they’re too bulky, they could’ve made them smaller and whatnot but I say so what? Big deal! They’ve pretty packaging and they’re not THAT bulky. I just love everything about these palettes!

My thoughts on:

The Dare Palette:The name explains it all! The colors in this palette is a bit daring for me but still pretty. It has a few dark shades that can smoke any look out making it wearable. This has to be my least fav out of the three which is funny because this was the first one I bought out of all three!

The Flare Palette: This was a gift from a good friend of mine, Fids, if you’re reading this, I want to say thanks so much for getting me this palette! I really appreciate this.
Now, my thoughts.. If you wanna pick just one of the 3, this is the perfect palette for you! You wanna know why? It’s because these palette has a very good combination of bright and neutral colors. So you’ve got a lil bit of both.

The Bare Palette:At first, I was skeptical about getting this palette. Some reviewers say that this palette is more or less the same with Urban Decay’s Naked palette, which I have and I didn’t wanna buy this at first. Lord knows how much neutrals I have in my collection, but it just didn’t feel right getting just 2 of the Sigma palettes so I actually got this on a wimp. And I ended up loving this the most. Yes, this looks like your everyday neutral palette, but it’s not just any neutral palette, this has beautiful shades of matte colors. What attracts me was SHINE (a very glittery black) and SNOOP (a matte grey). This palette has good highlight colors as well, ELOPE and APPROACH. Love love LOVE!

Now girls, this is all. As usual, I hope this was helpful. Comment below if you want me to elaborate more on anything. Until then, will talk to you all soon! ❤

15 Year Anniversary Eyeshadow Collection by Urban Decay

Standard

Hi yall!

Tonight I’ll be presenting Urban Decay’s 15 Anniversary Eyeshadow palette.

Sorry it took me this long to post again. It’s just that this month has been a very hectic month for me. Now enough about that. Honestly, I have not tried using this palette because… I think this palette is precious. It’s too pretty to look at that I don’t even want to use it, but then again I will, very soon I hope. I just loooveeee the colors they have in this palette and I’ve already thought of the different looks I can create using this palette.

Now what I can provide you today are the swatches of this palette. Here is how the colors look like on the palette.

First column on the left:

L to R: MIDNIGHT RODEO, MIDNIGHT 15, VANILLA, FLOW, CHASE

To me, this column has more of the neutral colors.

MIDNIGHT RODEO: This is more of a taupe color that has silver chunky glitters.

MIDNIGHT 15: This is more of a champagne color that has a greyish undertone to it.

VANILLA: This is a yellowish gold color.

FLOW: This is a peach color with a golden sheen to it.

CHASE: This is a soft bronzey color

The middle column:

From L To R: TAINTED, JUNKSHOW OMEN, EVIDENCE, DEEP END

This has to be my favorite column!

TAINTED: This color was a lil disappointing. It looks so nice on the pan but turns out it’s on the sheer side. This is a light lavender color.

JUNKSHOW: Fabulous! A hot pink with a purple sheen to it!

OMEN: This is a purple mixed with a bluish duo chrome.

EVIDENCE: This is a dark navy blue color.

DEEP END: Also a favorite! A pretty green, teal color.

The last column:

From L to R: DEEPER, M.I.A., ACE, BLACKOUT, HALF TRUTH

DEEPER: This is a bronze color with a golden sheen.

M.I.A. : A typical brown color that we all have seen before.

ACE: This is more of a dark gun metal color.

BLACKOUT: A matte black.

HALF TRUTH: This is a dark purple color with a sheen to it.

As you all know, Urban Decay makes quality eye shadows. All of these shadows are soft and mostly, pigmented. I cannot wait to try them out! Oh and the packaging is bomb! The downside is that it easily picks up finger prints. Blergh. Anyways, overall, a good buy. This might be a good addition to you make up collection or if you’re just starting with make up, this palette has good combination of neutrals and bright colors!

Until then, hope this was helpful girls!
